24-year-old Dallas Cowboys
football player, Marshawn Kneeland has died. The
budding athlete was the subject of a police
chase over a traffic violation. Kneeland
panicked and crashed his car. When police found
the vehicle Kneeland was not present. Hours
later they found him in a porto potty with a
self-inflicted gunshot wound. Before he passed
away he sent goodbye texts to his family.
Kneeland's girlfriend Catalina
stated he struggled with mental health issues.
It leads me to believe Kneeland had CTE, which
has plagued a number of NFL football players.
CTE is very serious. Repeated blows to the head
creates brain damage and promotes suicide.
Athletes need to be evaluated on a regular basis
for CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy).
Athletes who become mentally unwell need to be
medicated to relieve their pain and suffering,
lest it leads to suicide. And please remember,
suicide is never the answer. Seek medical help.
Your life is valuable. You are here for a
reason.
